    Profile Summary

A connector at heart, Angela Concepcion has spent over a decade shaping meaningful relationships across education, policy, and global partnerships—bringing humanity back into how institutions engage with students.

    Known for

Energy, warmth, and malasakit — a deep, genuine care for people

Building conversations that make people feel seen, heard, and remembered

Angela Concepcion does not see education as a system to be optimized, but as a space to be felt.

Her journey began in the classroom, teaching young learners. It was there—long before global partnerships and policy work—that she discovered a truth that would define her career: real impact does not come from information alone, but from connection. The kind of connection where people feel seen, heard, and supported in their growth.

Over the next 15 years, that belief carried her beyond the classroom and into the broader landscape of education. She contributed to national initiatives with the Commission on Higher Education, helping align communication standards with global frameworks such as CEFR. Through her work with the Government–Academe–Industry Network (GAIN), Inc., she brought together voices from government, academia, and industry—creating spaces where collaboration could move from idea to action.

Her work eventually expanded into international recruitment and partnerships, including her time with ApplyBoard. There, she built relationships with more than 100 agents across the Philippines, Canada, Australia, Asia, and the Middle East—supporting students while helping institutions extend their global reach.

But beyond titles and institutions, Angela is remembered for something less tangible and far more powerful.

People describe her as someone who brings energy into a room. Warmth. Presence. Malasakit.

It is this quality that defines her work on stage. From intimate gatherings to large-scale events, Angela has hosted and facilitated conversations that feel both purposeful and personal. Among these moments was the first-ever Top Recruiters Workshop in the Philippines, where over 300 education leaders gathered—not just to exchange ideas, but to experience them together. Another milestone was co-hosting alongside Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, an experience that reinforced her belief that the most impactful spaces are not simply informative—they are deeply felt.

Today, through BetterOS and the UpperClass Podcast, Angela continues to build these spaces in a new form.

The podcast is not just a platform for interviews—it is a deliberate effort to document the human side of ambition. The stories behind the milestones. The conversations behind the spotlight.

At her core, Angela is a builder of conversations that move people.

Because for her, education has never been just about reaching global standards. It is about raising the standard of how we show up for each other.

And when that happens, everything else follows.

She leaves every audience—and now every listener—with a quiet but powerful invitation:

What is a story you have been wanting to tell, but have not yet been given the space to share?
